Lifelong Wendover residents, Pete and Shelley took over The King and Queen in February 2016.  Re-establishing The King and Queen as a vibrant community pub, at the heart of village life. With an exciting events calendar, focusing on interests in music, literature, the surrounding area (and more..).

The food menu is simple and honest, pub food. Locally sourced and homemade where possible. Chef Ben (who is also a local, as are all of the bar-staff), makes wicked chips and pies (amongst other things). There's a great range of drinks, including four cask ales  and three rotational draft craft beers. A large range of spirits including over 30 premium gins, paired with Fever-Tree tonics (of course).

In October 2016 the pub were winners of Aylesbury Vale's Village Community Pub of the Year 2016/17.

In June 2017 we got through to the National finals of The Great British Pub Awards.
